ALL Lives Matter

You know, I’ve been thinking about somethings. Probably nothing that many of you haven’t already thought of yourselves. I hear the phrase “Black Lives Matter.” I hear that white lives matter. I hear police lives matter. I hear that all lives matter. I understand these statements are politically and racially grounded. But they shouldn’t be. LIFE is what matters and how we invest that life is what ULTIMATELY matters. Your color, race, religion or profession DOES NOT matter. It doesn’t matter if you are an OSU fan; an OU fan; a Thunder fan; a garbage man, a corporate CEO. It doesn’t matter if you live on the street; if you live in a shelter; if you live in a mansion. It doesn’t matter if you live in a prison cell or in a small shack. It doesn’t matter if you have an in-ground pool or you take your children to a splash pad in the summer. It doesn’t matter if you manicure your yard or fill it with old cars. These things don’t matter. What DOES matter: “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.” (1 Peter 3:18) THIS is what matters; but only if you understand it and act on it. ‘But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33).
